Always use a salt water or saline solution with your neti pot a.k.a. nose bidet.

For maximum ease of use, comfort, and effectiveness do not flush the sinuses with plain water. Instead use a wash of non-iodine salt water mixture. You can purchase neti pot wash refill salt in saline packets or mixing jars.

If you have a Nose Bidet or are looking to buy a neti pot it is important to know how to use one of these devices to flush your nasal passages and clean your sinus cavities.

One of the most important elements of the neti nasal irrigation process is the saline solution that is used. Do not use plain water! I tried using plain warm water with my neti pot and it was not very pleasant. I later learned that I should have always used the saline packets or other recommended salt solution.

Personally, I get my salt refill packets from Sinucleanse on Amazon. I like the 60 Count Sinucleanse Saline Solution packets. You can also buy them in bulk online from other ecommerce sites, auctions, and drug stores. I bought a Neti Pot kit that came with a plastic neti pot and 30 or 60 salt packets. When I get close to running out I just buy another box.
